Alina's modeling career started with small-time modeling gigs after competing in her local high school beauty pageant. From there, she landed a few roles doing television commercials. In 1998, Alina was Romania's "Model of the Year".

Alina has modeled for the Abercrombie & Fitch catalog, and has appeared in Maxim Magazine.

      I saw and viewed the TV ad of Alina, Tim and Noah TWCABLE Roomate wanted in which Alina was the one looking for a room to rent... It's funny and hilarious... I still remember that this was viewed by the American TV in the Spring of 1996
