Christy is best known for representing Calvin Klein fragrances since 1987. She had also worked on various Maybelline Cosmetic campaigns. Giorgio Armani has used her talents to display his designs on the runway. She was also a co-founder of the now defunct Fashion Café.

Christy has starred in many documentaries and movies about the fashion industry. She has had numerous contracts like Maybelline, Chanel and Calvin Klein. She is one of only a few models to appear on the cover of nearly 1,000 magazines. Christy along with Naomi and Linda were frequently booked together and then became known as the "Trinity".
