At 15, Eugenia entered the Elite model agency's "Look of the Year" contest and won. Immediately, she appeared on major magazine covers, including the Spanish editions of Bazaar, Telva and Vogue.

Soon after, Oscar de la Renta chose her to represent his fragrance, So. Carolina Herrera did the same, as did Loewe. Her face became more well known as she appeared on billboards and magazines all over Europe, especially in France and Italy.

After achieving success in Europe, Eugenia enrolled in law school at the Colegio Universitario Cardenal Cisneros, and obtained her degree.
