Eva began her modeling career after winning a modeling beauty contest in Prague in 1989 at the age of sixteen. After arriving in Paris she became a popular supermodel. Her first noted appearance was the Miss Wonderbra campaign in 1990s.
She was also featured in Guess? Jeans advertisements and was dubbed the "Marilyn of the 1990s". She has also appeared in the Victoria's Secret catalog and Sports Illustrated.
In 2002 Eva shocked fans and fashion watchers with her waif-like figure. Speculations and rumours of an eating disorder or drug addiction ran rampant, both of which she denied.
