Naima was the winner of the fourth season of the reality show, "America's Next Top Model". Her prizes as winner were a contract with Ford Models, a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics, and a fashion spread in Elle Magazine.

During the series, the former waitress touted her mixed African-American, Mexican, and Irish ethnicity and her Detroit upbringing. Her mohawk became her trademark.
