At the age of ten, Teresa was already collecting pictures of the annual top models of the time, including Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, and Eva Herzigova.

When Teresa was 14, her parents brought her and her brother Kevin from the West Indies to Hamburg, Germany. Shortly afterwards, John Galliano, the designer for Givenchy at the time, noticed her and was very impressed by her comp card. Her modeling career took off from there.

Teresa has been spotted in television ads for Sean John's "Unforgivable" fragrance, Campari, and Schwarzkopf. She also appeared in Lenny Kravitz's music video for "Again".
